When my alarm when off this morning….I awoke with an excitement about my day. I was finally looking forward to changing my life, and today was another day to do that. Then I proceeded to stand up…..and my entire body was shocked into reality. To say I was sore was an understatement. I felt like I been run over by a truck. When I thought that it made me laugh because I knew if I told Norm, “Norm my whole body hurts, I’m so sore.” He would have looked at me, laughed and said, “Your welcome, now on the ball for crunches.” Oh Norman, what a cold sense of humor. So I started my morning at 7:30 with some egg whites and strawberries. Healthy..yes, tasty…I suppose if you think eating a cloud with the slight flavor of egg is tasty then they are fantastic! Although, I know its healthy for me, and I’m not much of a breakfast person so I guess I can suck it up. Then I drove to Passion for Fitness to see Norm’s shining face for a workout. Norm is one of the most compassionate, gentle people I have ever met. That is why I was so shocked to find that his workouts had me gasping for air in the first ten minutes. Day One…
There are two words that immediately come to mind after working out with Joe today…..HOLY…...MOLEY. I knew working out would be hard, but oh my lanta. It was brutal. Every second I was moving, and if I wasn’t moving Joe was encouraging me to push my limits. We went to a local park and used the benches, and the monkey bars. I never looked at a park as a place of misery but now when I see monkey bars a I don’t think cute laughing children, I think pull ups.
