Get Honking!

With every new year, there’s comes a resolution or two that involves getting healthy, losing weight, or improving our level of physical fitness.  There’s actually a way to do all these things, and accomplish them within one simple hour, a few times a week.

It’s time to get HONKING!

Introducing Honking, the newest fitness phenomenon that provides a maximum calorie-burning cardio workout, core work, and strength training moves to build muscle and keep the burn going for hours after your workout.  Honking utilizes the largest muscle groups in both the upper and lower body simultaneously, resulting in improved strength, flexibility, posture, balance and overall physical conditioning.  Plus, it burns more calories than any other fitness class out there!


What is Honking?  Often thought of as “riding out of the saddle,” competitive cyclists “honk” when they stand up while cycling to accelerate or take a hill.  Honking is the art of cycling in the super-incumbent position.  Similar to a spinning class, with the addition of resistance bands and interval training, Honking classes offer a fast paced, fun way to get an intense aerobic, strength training, and core workout – all in one.  These classes not only consist of riding the incumbent bike at several different degrees, but also utilizing one’s body weight for resistance training of various muscle groups – arms, shoulders, glutes, and legs.  The results of this diverse interval training method provide the best caloric burning blast that far outweighs the benefits of any exercise bike, treadmill, stair climber or elliptical trainer.
