What We Focus On

Four things we’re actually known for.

Not a general gym membership — coaching built around the specific problems real adults come to us to solve, at every stage of life. Here’s what that looks like in practice, in our clients’ own words.

Injury & Pain Free Movement

Injury & Pain Free Movement

Training around real injuries, not despite them

We’ve worked with clients close to back, knee, and shoulder surgery — restoring mobility and stability first, then rebuilding strength on top of it.

“Joe pinpointed the issue coming from my hip alignment and weak glutes. I’m finally pain-free and stronger than ever.”

— Michelle D.

technique

Movement First Coaching

Technique before load, every time

Every plan starts with how you move — not how much you can lift. Clients with old mental blocks around lifts like the deadlift and squat learn to move through them safely.

“In 45 minutes, Joe taught me more about the deadlift than years of training on my own — and I added 50 pounds, pain-free.”

— Jim H.

Common Questions

What people ask before starting.

How much does personal training cost?

Pricing depends on session frequency and format. Book a free strategy call and you’ll get exact pricing for your goals before committing to anything — no contracts required.

Is this safe if I have an old injury or back pain?

Yes. Coaches are trained through the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and StrongFirst, and routinely work with clients managing back, knee, and shoulder issues to build strength without aggravating them.

Do I need to already be in shape to start?

No. Every client starts with a movement assessment, not a fitness test. Programming is built around your current ability, injury history, and goals.

Where are you located?

Two studios: 590 Wharton Blvd in Exton, PA, and 141 Nutt Rd in Phoenixville, PA. In-home training is also available across Chester County.

How often should I train with a personal trainer per week?
Most of our clients train 2–3 times per week. Twice a week builds steady strength and is the minimum for real progress; three times a week accelerates fat loss and athletic goals. Your coach sets the frequency based on your goals, schedule, and recovery — not a package quota.

How long is a personal training session?

Sessions run 45–60 minutes depending on your program. Every session includes a movement prep warm-up, the coached training block, and a cooldown — no standing around, no wasted time.

What’s the difference between 1-on-1 personal training and small group training?

1-on-1 is fully private coaching — every rep programmed for your body, your injuries, your goals. Small group training (capped at 8 people) uses the same individualized programming and coaching, but you train alongside others at a lower price point. Both start with a movement assessment. If you have significant injuries or very specific goals, 1-on-1 is the better fit.

I’m over 50. Is personal training safe for me?

Yes — a large share of our clients are in their 50s, 60s, and beyond. Every client starts with a Functional Movement Screen so programming respects your joints, bone density, and balance. Our focus at this stage is strength for independence: staying capable, mobile, and confident in daily life.

I’ve finished physical therapy. Can I start personal training?

In many cases, yes — once your doctor or physical therapist clears you for exercise. Many of our clients come to us after PT, and your coach will program around your history using your movement assessment. Bring your discharge notes to your free consult so programming respects any limitations. (General fitness coaching, not medical treatment — always follow your provider’s guidance.)
